Concrete stamping is a process whereby regular concrete is made to look amazingly like other natural building materials. It is accomplished by pouring fresh concrete, then coloring and impressing a pattern on it before it sets. This is done through the use of specialized concrete coloring agents and rubber stamping mats which come in a wide variety of patterns. stamping.JPG (98110 bytes)

While the concrete is still wet, a coloring agent is applied to color the slab. After the concrete sets a bit, a colored antiquing release is spread evenly over the surface and a textured pattern is stamped into the slab with the rubber mats (photo on right). When the concrete sets thoroughly, the excess release agent is washed off, the control joints are cut, and the slab is cleaned and sealed.
